You love driving a truck but you're getting sick and tired of burning through gas like it's potato chips. The 2018 Ford F-150, for instance, will offer new engine options that bump up the truck's MPGs to be more in line with modern standards.

The new F-150's 3.3-liter V6 engine (the replacement for the 2017 F-150's 3.5-liter engine) has been rated for 19/25/22 MPG. Another one of its engine options, the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 can also produce 20/22/25 MPG. Neither of these, of course, are up to par with the standard bearers of modern fuel efficiency, but they represent a nice step toward freeing trucks from their gas guzzling reputations.
